Why we made this documentary
Chants of “Jews will not replace us” have rung in Charlottesville and people are murdered because of their attackers’ hatred of Israel. Experts are observing a staggering rise in antisemitic attacks and a shifting cultural climate that is increasingly receptive to ideologies of racial and religious hatred. That’s why this documentary is so important right now —- it provides a unique POV into Jewish life today and how it continues to endure and not become defined by the hate that has always existed and continues to this day. Antisemitism is the oldest hatred and rising again all over the world. But so are the Jewish people. Jews of every background have chose Judaism in different ways, but hate threatens them all the same. TO LIFE is a vital portrait into the world’s oldest religion today and how Jews of all backgrounds and identities continue to thrive.

It must be countered with acts of goodness. In the face of hate, silence is deadly. Apathy will be interpreted as acceptance — by the perpetrators, the public, and — worse — the victims. 2. You help create a platform and story to showcase the vibrancy of Jewish Life.
Of the 7 million estimated Jew's living in the United States today, over 1 million are Jews of Color. This means 1/7th of the Jewish People are erased by stories and assumptions about Jews that do not include everyone. We need your help to create a dialog with all communities that give space for Jews of Color to be represented and heard.

Take seriously the smallest hint of hate — even what appears to be simple name-calling. The Department of Justice again has a warning: Slurs often escalate to harassment, harassment to threats, and threats to physical violence. Don’t wait to fight hate.
